and was officially declared open on 26th September 1998 by Mr Abdullah Tarmugi,
then Minister for Community Develpment.

This Centre was set up on 18th January
1999 and was officially declared open on 30th July 2000 by Mr Chew Heng
Ching, MP for East Coast GRC (Kaki Bukit).

Services of the 2 Centres
Both Centres serve the needs of the elderly residents, providing social, recreational and welfare services, irespective of race, colour, creed, language or religion.
Services included:
~ The basic and core services such as keeping a register of elderly persons, forming mutual help groups, managing alert alarm calls, information and referral services, networking and other services ~
~ Keep-fit excercises, hobbies, earning schemes, arts and crafts, letter reading and writting, TV and Karaoke, financial assistance and any other welfare, social or community services ~
~ Social and recreational programme to enable them to lead more meaningful social lives ~
~ Free meals ~
~ Outings, functions, celebrations and bonding ~
Respect for Race and Religion
The centres provide an atmosphere to promote love and care for every resident. It respects our residents' race, colour, creed, language and religion.
